The Lesedi Skills Academy is officially launched in Atlantis, Western Cape in the presence of Dr Rob Davies (Minister of Trade and Industry for South Africa) and Minister Alan Winde (Provincial Minister of Economic Opportunities, Western Cape Government) along with other delegates. Established in 2016, the Lesedi Skills Academy was created when Lesedi identified the need for skilled artisans in the industry. The Academy offers the MERSETA and NAMB (National Artisan Moderation Body) accredited Mechanical Fitter and Turner and Boiler Maker Programmes ranging from NQF Levels 2-4. At specific times, Lesedi Nuclear Services absorbs ‘artisans in training’ into the Nuclear Outage Programme, this attests to the level of training received at the Academy.
